Our coaches each have their own unique fitness journey, styles and backgrounds. What remains constant is that all of them are committed to help others improve their lives through fitness.

Lexis Bauer

Owner / Head Coach

Lexis started CrossFit in 2015 and instantly fell in love with the community aspect, where other members turned into friends who held her accountable. After a few years of attending CrossFit classes, she became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2019. Lexis is excited to share her passion of fitness with everyone who walks in the doors of CrossFit Port Clinton.  Lexis is certified in AED/CPR/First Aid.  Lexis is also trained in trauma sensitive, athlete centered, coaching.

Brett Bauer

Owner / Coach

Brett has been a part of the CrossFit community since 2019 after some convincing by his wife. Once he got through the door, he has enjoyed seeing improvements in his diet, and physical and mental well being. He is currently a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach, and is AED/CPR/First Aid certificated.  Brett is also trained in trauma sensitive, athlete centered, coaching.

Sal Abbulone

Coach

Sal has been doing CrossFit since 2014 and is currently a Level 1 Trainer. Sal encourages anyone who wants to get into better shape, lose weight, or be stronger to try out CrossFit. In Sal’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two kids.

Kyle Rutledge

Coach

Kyle first started CrossFit in 2019 and instantly fell in love with the various workouts CrossFit provided. After a few years he wanted more from CrossFit so he decided to take the Level 1 course and become a coach in 2021. Kyle joined the Air National Guard in 2015 and now currently works full time for the guard. He enjoys helping and watching people reach their health and fitness goals.  Kyle is trained in trauma sensitive, athlete centered, coaching.

Erin Benner

Coach

Erin started CrossFit in June of 2021.  She fell in love with CrossFit because it has helped her in so many ways.  It has taught her the importance of consistency, accountability, and internal motivation.  It has helped to not only improve her physical health, but also her mental health.  She loves surrounding herself with people who are trying to better themselves every day inside the walls of CrossFit Port Clinton.  Erin became so passionate about CrossFit that she became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in May of 2022.  She is certified in AED/CPR/First Aid.  She is also trained in trauma sensitive, athlete centered coaching.

Ashley Michael

Coach

Ashley started CrossFit in 2012 while looking for an effective way to get fit. What she found in CrossFit was much more than she was looking for. She found friendships, confidence, discipline and a natural way to relieve stress. Since starting CrossFit, Ashley has received her CrossFit Level 2 trainer certificate and a love for competing in the sport. Although Ashley is a competitive athlete, she enjoys taking time to help others reach their goals. Ashley is eager to see how CrossFit changes everyone’s lives but especially excited to see how CrossFit builds confidence, empowerment and strength in women of all ages! Ashley is trained in trauma sensitive, athlete centered, coaching. Ashley is also certified in AED/CPR/First Aid.

Jeremy Stokes

Guest Coach

Jeremy started CrossFit in 2017 and is currently a Level 1 Trainer. As an endurance athlete, Jeremy needed something to maintain and build his strength. CrossFit did that and so much more. He quickly became hooked. Jeremy believes CrossFit is for everyone. His guidance and instruction will help you safely and effectively reach your goals. In Jeremy’s free time, he loves spending time with his family and friends.
